XMatchExclusive is an Excel add-in that performs exclusive lookups where each match can only be used once. This privacy policy explains what data the add-in accesses and how it's used.

3. What Stays in Your Workbook
3.1 Your Spreadsheet Data
XMatchExclusive formulas read your lookup values, lookup ranges, and return ranges to perform matching. This data is:
- Processed entirely within Excel
- Never transmitted to our servers
- Never logged or recorded
3.2 Match Tracking State
To remember which matches have been used, XMatchExclusive stores tracking data in your workbook's settings (similar to how Excel stores custom properties). This includes:
- Which cells have active XMatchExclusive formulas
- Which row indices have been matched
- The return values for each assignment
This data is saved when you save your workbook and stays entirely within your file.
3.3 Usage Counts (Free Tier)
For free users, we track how many times you use XMatchExclusive formulas each day. This count is stored in your workbook settings and resets daily. It's used only to enforce the free tier limit (200 calls/day).
4. What We May Access
4.1 License Verification
When the add-in starts, it may contact our server to check your license status:
- What's sent: Email address (if signed in), subscription ID
- What's returned: License tier (Free/Pro), expiration date
- Frequency: Once every 30 minutes (cached)
We do NOT receive any of your spreadsheet data during license checks.
4.2 Error Reporting
If an error occurs, we may log:
- Error type and message
- Browser/Excel version
- Timestamp
Error logs never include your spreadsheet data, cell values, or formula contents.
5. Data Retention
- Workbook data: Stays in your file until you delete it
- License records: Kept while subscription is active, deleted 30 days after cancellation
- Error logs: Deleted after 90 days
6. Your Rights
You can:
- Reset match tracking: Use the "Reset All Matches" button in the taskpane
- Clear cached license: Sign out from the taskpane
- Request data deletion: Email support@fatimode.org
- Uninstall: Remove the add-in from Excel at any time

We protect your data with:
- HTTPS encryption for all API communications
- Azure cloud security standards

- No storage of spreadsheet data
